Because sometimes one bottle simply isn’t enough.
The Penguin Magnum is the 1500ml version of Brian Hirst’s much-loved Penguin decanter, hand-blown in Sydney and made for those very good occasions when a magnum gets pulled from the cellar.
Its curved, sculptural shape is designed to sit naturally in the hand and make pouring easy and drip-free. Which is particularly helpful when you’re manoeuvring a magnum’s worth of wine around the dinner table.
Each decanter is individually hand-blown and signed by Brian, so no two are exactly the same. Small variations in the glass, shape and weight are all part of its handmade character.
A beautiful bit of Australian glassmaking, and a very good excuse to open the big bottle.
